The 2004 elections brought us 4 more years of George W. Bush and 4 more years of a corrupt president and presidential cabinet. This event was held on election day, falling on the day of the dead. In spirit, the performances and artwork were poiticaly charged. Their was a drawing debate by Noah Post and Gregory MacAvoy , as well as a drum debate, by Phil Moffa and Steve Brant. Wash Machine presented a video debate and Jonathan Phelps showed the film, "BLACKANDWHITE And Red All Over," for the first time. With an art gallery, installation art, live performance and film screening, this night was destined to be memorable, no matter who won the elections. Some might argue though that things can't be quite right when there is an 'election day of the dead,' and there was. |
